Some action at the field today. If you look real close, the last pic is of a Mavic Pro Drone! Everyone had a good time.
Hi Joe! Just wanted you to know I took some time off and went up to the field this AM. I flew from 7 til 11 and got in 14 flights with the Strega, Commander and Jeffs P-51 in dead calm wind. Just wanted to say the field was in beautiful condition. The grass was in such good shape I was flying the Mustangs with the heavy 4 cell batteries and didn't have a single nose over! Thanks for the great...
Got another Non-RC Toy! Just couldn't pass it up. Ps, pb, disc brakes, tilt wheel, 351 cleveland and auto trans. - feeling cool
Extended the rest of the runway up the hill a little. Almost 700' now. Just need more RC planes on the runway. Real easy for Ultralights to land there now. I bet my buddy, Baron could have landed his Champ on the field now!
No pictures of anyone flying today! 8th straight day of rain in a row with 20 mph winds. Grass is growing like crazy! - feeling sad
I modded the crap out of one of my Mini bikes.
Just got done re- engineering a jack shaft set up on it. Runs & rides real good, & pulls my 205lbs no problem.
Sorry, I have no new planes to post, so I'll just post some of my restoration projects I have been working on over the winter. This on is a 1954 International pickup. I got the bed sandblasted and the rear fenders being repaired. This runs and drives perfect. Can't wait to get the bed and running boards on.
My next project is a 1949 Plymouth Business Coupe. I couldn't pass this up as it looks like a cartoon car. got all new brakes, wheel cylinders, lines, and master cylinder. So far it stops. That's the first step. I got the motor freed up. Next step is to see if it will run. lol - feeling amused
My latest restoration. A 1964 Mercedes 220 sl. All original paint. Came from California. Also I sent to Germany to buy one of those funny 10 letter license plates. Man is that sucker comfortable! - feeling happy
I set the Champ aside and trying to finish my Byron Glasair for the Indiana Fliers club fun fly this Saturday. Come out and join us.
The Sukoi was a hairy little flight. This ASx technology is different to fly! It kept wanting to climb on it's own!
